On Friday November 11th veterans and active service members can have a free meal and even a snack at these participating restaurants according to the Foodbeast. The 2011 Veterans Day list is bigger this year than last year as more of the big name restaurants honor the nation’s veterans and active military.
The rules around the Veterans Day 2011 free meal offerings are simple. You need to show proof that you’re in the military or that you’re an active member of the military. These specials are available for November 11th 2011 at the participating locations. It’s a good idea to call ahead to the restaurant that you’re planning to visit to make sure they are honoring the free meal offer.
Here are the Veterans Day 11-11-11 offerings:
Denny’s: (participating restaurants only) is offering a free Grand Slam Breakfast from 6am to 10pm to any veteran or active military.
Chili's: Offers a free Veterans Day meal with six to choose from between the hours of 11 a.m. to 5 pm.
The Olive Garden: A a free entree including baked garlic sticks and choice of soup or salad.
Subway: Free six-inch sub or flatbread sandwich to active military and veterans.
Applebee's: Offers a free meal with seven to choose from off their menu.
Outback Steakhouse: Offers a free “Bloomin' Onion” and a Coke are offered the entire week leading up and including Veterans Day on Friday.
TGI Fridays: offers a buy one meal get one free meal to US Military personal and veterans on Nov. 11th.
Hooters: 10 free wings, regular or boneless, when you purchase a drink on Veterans Day.
BJ's Restaurant: Offers a free lunch entrĂ©e or a one-topping mini-pizza for dinner on Veteran’s Day.
Sizzler: Offers a buy one get one free BOGO 6 oz. Steak Entree.
Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., every Texas Roadhouse location across the country will be honoring veterans, active, retired and former U.S. military with a free lunch.
Seven Eleven: is offering up a free Slurpee from 11am to 7pm on Veteran’s Day.
Krispy Kreme: Free doughnut on at participating locations.

Golden Corral: this restaurant's Veterans Day special is offered on Monday, November 14th, 2011 from 5 pm to 9 pm in all Golden Corral Restaurants nationwide will be giving a free “thank you” dinner to any person who has ever served in the National Guard or Reserves.
