Vice President Ron Butler called the meeting to order at 10:30. Eight members and one guest were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Guest Sam Sansom gave the prayer.
 Sam Sansom, President of the Fayetteville Chapter of MOAA (Military Officers Association of America) was welcomed as a guest. He presented a check for $1,835 to the RNCIC as an annual donation from its various members. Since 2007 the Fayetteville Chapter of MOAA has given a total of $5,485 to the RNCIC.
Harold Crivello, President of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 678, presented a check for $1,089.37 to the RNCIC in closing their chapter.
A cameraman from Channel 40/29 TV took video of both presentations and interviewed Vice President Ron Butler and Harold Crivello. This was set up through the efforts of Ron Butler calling John Cumpston with 40/29. It will be on the news tonight.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Beverley Swaim moved, and Harold Crivello 2nd, to accept the minutes from the June meeting. The motion passed.
2. Harold Crivello presented the June 30 Financial Statement with an ending balance of $97,711.41, following the $75,000 donation from Tyson and numerous other donations. A motion was made and seconded to accept the treasurer’s report.
3. Dave Rader confirmed that his financial review of the treasurer’s records indicated the records were in order.
4. Harold Crivello reported that the status of the RNCIC 501 C 3 was in order with the IRS.
5. Discussion was continued on the feasibility of conducting another 5K race in Nov.Members are to consider to make a yes or no vote at the August meeting as to whether or not it is to be continued this year.

NEW BUSINESS
1. Ron Butler passed out an RNCIC Property List dated 7/5/2010, with the comment that it is for our confidential information only, and in no way quoted prices to be offered for the properties.
2. Properties #15 and #17 are available to purchase. Roger McClain and Ron Butler have met with Mr. Hank Mahler regarding property #17.
3. Discussion followed regarding properties #20 and #20A owned by the Brantleys. Jake Lamkins made a motion that Roger and Ron look into the purchase of this property for consideration at this time. The motion was seconded by Lorna Sterrett. The motion passed.
4. Discussion also followed concerning interest in properties #5 and #6 (each listed at $9,900 = assessed value +10%) if money is available in the treasury after one lot is purchased on Hill Avenue.
5. Ron Butler suggested that an analysis of the vacant land be made to determine which parcels of land would be most cost effective and acceptable by the VA.
6. Jake Lamkin reported that the web site had 872 hits during the past month. Of those, 198 were “page” visitors. Harold Crivello reported that two of the donations received were from the printed form obtained from the web site. All were pleased with the web site activity.
 The meeting was adjourned at 11:45 a.m. The next meeting will be August 14, 2010.
